Who we are

Rooted in community. Built for the long term.

Protection, Peace and Development Initiative (PPDI) was founded by community members in Mandera County who saw a need for collective action on the social, economic, environmental, and humanitarian challenges facing their own neighbourhoods.

We are independent, non-partisan, and led from the ground up — guided by transparency, accountability, and the belief that lasting change comes from communities themselves.
